Each indicator offers a different viewpoint and outlook. Three of the indicators are what we call trading indicators, meaning there is enough evidence to suggest that based on certain conditions, a future outcome is likely. For these three indicators we identify the most recent buy or sell trigger that was generated and an extensive profit/loss analysis that can tell you how much money you would have made or loss following that indicator with that stock for the last 300 trading days. This information is very useful in identifying which of the trade signals are most reliable. We can not predict when a trade signal will occur, but they do clearly tell you when one does, and whether or not that signal is worthy of your attention.

One of the goals we had when designing our service was to make what can often be a very complex science, very simple and accessible. To achieve this we came up with the Black Box Investing scoring system. In our reports, we rate each of the 5 technical indicators we evaluate on a scale of one to five boxes. A one box is a sell signal and a five box is a buy signal. We then rate the overall stock according to this scale as well. This allows for a straightforward conclusion that can quickly be understood alongside the supporting evidence, including all relevant charts.
